About telehealth
Telehealth involves the use of secure video and audio technology to provide care when you and your clinician are in different locations. The same standards of practice and confidentiality that apply to in-person visits apply to telehealth.
Benefits and risks
Benefits include greater access, convenience, and continuity of care. Risks include possible technical difficulties, limits on physical examination, and rare risks to the privacy of the connection itself.
Your responsibilities
You agree to participate from a private setting in Georgia, use a secure internet connection, provide a current phone number for backup contact, and notify your clinician of your physical location at the start of each visit.
Emergencies
Telehealth is not appropriate for emergencies. If you experience a behavioral health emergency, call 988 or 911 immediately.
Recording
Sessions are not recorded without your written consent. You may not record a session without the written consent of your clinician.
