Once your insurance is verified and we receive your intake information, our office staff will reach out directly to discuss your treatment plan, match you with the right clinician, and coordinate next steps. No extra forms to fill out — we handle it from here.

Questions before you start

Where is Progressive Counseling located?

Do I need to take the quick assessment?

No. The self-check is optional. You can start services and complete intake directly, or download the intake packet to print and complete by hand. Contact intake for return instructions; do not send sensitive health information through a general contact message.

Which ages and locations are eligible?

Our adult Medicaid pathway serves Georgia adults. For a child or adolescent, ask intake to confirm the service's age requirements, guardian consent and current availability. In-person care is based at our College Park office. Telehealth requires confirmation of your location, the clinician's authorization and plan eligibility; it is not automatically available nationwide.

Will my insurance cover counseling?

CareSource and Amerigroup are Medicaid plans. Participation alone does not guarantee coverage for every service. Intake verifies your plan, benefits, clinician participation and any referral or authorization requirements. Ask about expected out-of-pocket costs before scheduling. Read about Medicaid or commercial insurance verification.

What happens after intake or a referral?

The team reviews your request and contacts you about appropriate next steps and available appointments. A request does not guarantee acceptance or an appointment date. Bring identification, current insurance information if applicable and any requested documents. Professionals and family members can make a referral here.
